  • When art teacher Brenda Kirik retired, she knew that she wasn't ready to stop working with the community, so she created William's Place, an arts and crafts store selling items made by regional makers and specializing in fabric. Her store name honors the history of the building, which was called Winger-Williams in 1922 before it became Wing Willi Star Stores in 1939. Driven to create a "happy place" for artist and crafters in the community, Kirik included a classroom in her store. Classes are taught on stained glass, sewing, needle felting, crocheting, and more, with the schedule varying from week to week. All are welcomed. No art experience necessary.
