Chainsaw artist Scott Dow is well-versed in many media - tattooing, painting, bronze casting, marble and stone sculpting, and furniture design - but when he picked up a chainsaw, he found an immediate speed and fluidity to apply his creative expertise. He specializes in human and wildlife figurative carvings, as well as angels and mantels, and has competed on the international and national stages for chainsaw carving winning the US Open in 2012 and competing in the Blockhausen Husky Cup in Germany on an American team in 2012 and 2014. In 2023 again competed in the Husky Cup collaborating with Bob King in the Masters of the Masters’ Competition. At his gallery in Corry, you can find Scott working on commissioned as well as artist-inspired projects.
