The maple syrup business Sweet Traditions is aptly named. Syrup making goes back four generations in the Catalfu family, with John Wiggers operating out of a small sugar shack in the 1930s in North Clymer, N.Y. Owners Casey Catalfu and Kerrie Clark sell a host of maple products made from their own maple syrup produced in a sugar house on their 17-acre property. They include jugs of maple syrup, maple cream candies, maple cotton candy, maple syrup covered nuts, and maple popcorn. According to Catalfu and Clark, their most popular products are their maple cotton candy, maple BBQ sauces, and bourbon maple syrup. Gift baskets are available upon request, and they occasionally give tours of the sugar house. The Catalfu's products an be purchased from their retail shop at Sweet Traditions, or Till Top Creamery in Corry, Youngsville Hardware in Youngsville, PA, and Westside Market in Erie.
